  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Sauté chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix thawed hash browns, cooked beef mixture, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  5. Layer half of the hash brown mixture in the prepared baking dish; sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat layers.
