  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably leftover)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground meat, minced garlic, and soy sauce until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small meatballs and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce until smooth.
  5. Spread cooked rice around the meatballs in the dish and pour the sauce over it evenly.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until meatballs are golden brown.
