Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup hazelnuts (roasted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and roast hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Allow hazelnuts to cool slightly, then rub them between your hands or with a towel to remove most of the skins.
  3. In a food processor, blend the skinned hazelnuts until creamy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder and powdered sugar before adding to the food processor.
  5. Pour in sunflower oil and vanilla extract while blending until smooth.
  6. Transfer homemade Nutella into an airtight jar; store it in the fridge for up to two weeks.
