  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper; cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from pan and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, melt more butter; whisk in flour until bubbly. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened.
  4. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted.
  5. Combine pasta, chicken, and cheese sauce in a baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
