  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp mustard powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While baking, whisk together ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and mustard powder in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  6. Once the meatballs are baked, toss them in the sauce and let simmer on low for an additional five minutes before serving.
