  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour or pipe batter into the donut pan about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and springy to touch.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with remaining maple syrup until smooth; dip warm donuts in glaze.
